Fenbendazole is veterinary medicine which is prescribed for treatment of gastrointestinal parasites including roundworms, whipworms, and hookworms. It belongs to class of benzimidazole anthelmintic drugs having chemical formula C15H13N3O2S with molar mass of 299.349 g/mol. This medicine is known to be highly effective in nature and gets metabolized to oxfendazole in liver. It generally appears as white colored crystalline powder with water solubility. Fenbendazole is known to work by binding to tubulin which is required by parasites for nutrient uptake resulting in their death.
